Reeves Air was established in 1968 by Edwin K. Reeves. Eddy passed away at the age of 71, in January of 2006 from complications after bypass surgury.
He worked right up to the day he went to the hospital. He was semiretired for the last 5 years (which to him ment cutting back to 40 hours a week) Ed had recieved many awards in his aviation career but none ment more than the Charles Taylor Award from the FAA for 50 years of in aviation maintenance. He made many friends thourgh the years from his days in the Conn. Air Guard, experimental flight test at Pratt and Whitney, Hartford Airmotive,
Waterford Airport, and Westerly Airport. He will be missed.
His son Michael is also an Airframe and Power plant Mechanic, IA, and a private pilot. He started working with his Dad in 1976.
The Manager Sue Winkler is equally qualified as an A&P, IA and has been working at Reeves Air since 1977, and oversees the shop.
Terry Pearson started his aviation career in 1970 with the U.S. Airforce.He is an A&P and has FCC licensing.
